SA Horse Back Safari’s offer the ultimate in horse trail riding. They do casual riding on well behaved, well trained and friendly horses through the Krugersdorp Game Reserve observing game only a few feet away from the horse. The Game Reserve offers 20 different species of game which include the Springbok, Impala, Giraffe, Black Wildebeest and Gemsbok to name but a few. Their safari trails are approximately 2 to 2 ½ hour and they guarantee that riders see at least 8 different species during the ride.
Not only does a horse riding safari trail include all the adventure and
luxury of a traditional game viewing safari, but by being on horseback one
truly becomes part of the environment.
The horse keeps its own senses tuned for any game, and by looking in the direction of its ears, many well camouflaged animals are revealed. Once comfortable, a horse will drop its head and graze, signalling to all the antelope in the area to relax too. In this fashion one can happily drift along with e.g. a herd of giraffe observing them as they go about their normal daily routines.

Additional advantages of a horseback safari trail include being seated
at a height that makes game spotting easy and the ability to cover a good
distance each day in search of different herds of game.
They offer different packages some of which include meals at the restaurant,
having a braai and visiting the lion camp. It sounds awesome.
