Seattle Coffee Company

Armchair Travel, Around a Bookstore

Every now and then I find myself in a paradise of published books, magazines, glossy covers and fiction filled with lovers.  The Exclusive Books outlets combined with the Seattle Coffee shops are a place you can get lost in time and space and can indulge in adventures of the mind.  One of the most popular branches is the one situated at the Nelson Mandela Square.

The other is at the Hyde Park Corner shopping centre where the Seattle Coffee shop is my favourite and is well supported by its loyal Hyde Park fans that make their daily or weekly pilgrimage for a coffee fix.

If you are feeling decadent and need one of the best croissants in Johannesburg then this is a coffee shop to splurge.  They bake their croissants daily in an onsite oven just behind their counter and their croissants are not too sweet or too greasy.  They are just right – perfect for those of us who want to enjoy without a guilt trip.  They are simply delicious and served with a tall cappuccino you will think you are in heaven even though you are sitting on a plastic chair.  They have a wide selection of sweet and savoury snacks and cakes.  Seated with a few current glossy magazines that’s half an hour well spent, always worth experiencing!
